Description
Clownfish are small (6–11 cm), bright orange, white-striped marine fish found in Indo-Pacific coral reefs, famous for their symbiotic relationship with stinging anemones. They are born male, live in groups, and the largest male turns female if the dominant female dies. They are popular, hardy aquarium fish, often kept in pairs, with an average lifespan of 6–15 years.
